May be corrupted or defective .dll files of Messenger or incompatiability or lack of adequate windows resource/application memory allocated from physical memory or RAM (needs at least 2GB for proper functioning of your programs as Y! IM consumes a lot of windows application memory. Also your internet connection may not be stable and consistent enough to keep you signed in with online Y! server via Y! IM.
