I have read that AutoGallery SQL is not too complicated to install ad maintain.
One more that's good (many webmasters will confirm this) is Comus Thumbs. And also you can use free scripts as well and Site Organizer as well.

All depends what scripts your good at, if you want a very good one you may need to buy, but free ones can work just as good sometimes.
